Happy 2008!
Well, another year has come and gone & what a year it was.
We worked with so many fun, creative and sweet brides last year! Michelle and I were recalling everyone and saying how much we enjoyed working with each bride. We also met many new vendors and had the pleasure of working closely with a few new wedding planners. We experienced some new venues and visited more corners of the great state of Colorado. We had a blast attending so many networking events & trying the tasty tidbits of Denver/Boulder caterers.
Plus, new additions to Bella Fiori, Lauren joined our team in December and jumped right into the deep end with weddings and holiday events.
Of course, Johann joined the shop. Seen here becoming one with tulle:

If you are planning a wedding for 2008 now is the time to contact Bella Fiori! Yes, we are booking up quickly for May, June & July. August, September and October have started to get inquiries and bookings.
If you are in need of a Saturday consultation slot we are taking apts. for January 5 or 19. Please plan on one hour for your initial consultation.
Happy New Year! :)

Grand Hyatt - Pinnacle Club
We had a lovely wedding on New Year's Eve which took place at Grand Hyatt's Pinnacle Ballroom.
"The Pinnacle Club
Colorado's premier banquet space is now open to host your affair through the Grand Hyatt Denver. This lofty 38th floor perch, with its floor–to-ceiling windows, provides optimal views of downtown Denver's skyline, the Rocky Mountains, and Pikes Peak more than 100 miles away!"
Imagine the views from this great ballroom during the evening hours of New Years! I heard the views of the fireworks were amazing!
The theme was winter white. We used very few fresh flowers for the reception. Only a few white orchids were used during the cocktail hour where we decorated martini glasses with a light, California crystals and the orchid.

Then the guests entered the grand ballroom which was decorated with white table linens and chair covers with a subtle silver overlay. We decorated the tables with great mosiac white and silver vases filled with winter white branches and fun beads around the base of the branches.

Not pictured are the personal flowers. Emily carried a handtied bouquet of black magic roses with a petite collar of evergreens. The bridesmaids carried handtied bouquets of polo roses with collars of seeded eucalyptus and evergreens. The mothers carried petite versions of the bridesmaids' bouquets.
Michelle Gillette of Dramatic Events was the wedding planner for this fabulous New Year's Eve wedding.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas a day late. :) I hope everyone had a wonderful celebration with their loved ones. I was in Everett, Washington with the family for four days. Really enjoyed being in the Pacific Northwest, where we spent quite a bit of time out walking and taking in the landscape. I felt very inspired by the green on green colors - so many tall & lush trees, moss, pinecones, berries, etc. I wanted to take some photos of the trees, BUT my camera battery died, bummer!
Now it's back to life in Denver where we have a foot of snow and more on the way. ;)

Locks of Love
On December 11, 2007, Denver Divas held their monthly meeting at Tuana Hair Design located at 2500 West 15h Street Denver, CO 80211. This month there was a special mission for this networking group - get as many members to donate their long hair as possible to the wonderful organization - Locks of Love. I've been growing my hair out for sometime with the plan to donate it. I'll admit I was a bit timid at first walking into the salon, afterall, I've had long hair for sometime. My friend, Allison, was great moral support & photographer that evening. Also, helped that Nil, Kymberly and all the other Denver Divas cheered me on! Thanks girls!! Now I love the shorter 'do! Will I grow it out again to make another donation? YES! Here are some photos from the evening:

The Broadmoor wedding
Here's another Broadmoor wedding to check out. It took place August 25, 2007. Barry Staver Photography provided me with a fabulous selection of photos to peruse, thanks Barry!
Penny from Revelry Events was the wedding coordinator.
Here Danielle carries a hand-tied bouquet of 40 stems mango calla lilies:

Elevated centerpieces on the head table. They are filled with hot pink hydrangea, orange unique roses, hot pink roses, hanging green amaranthus, mambo spray roses, mango callas, orange mokara orchids & pink veronica. The arrangements sit on 36" tall vases with lighted bases:
