Green Gables Country Club

This past weekend, June 21, we worked with Traci on her wedding at Green Gables Country Club in Lakewood. I love this country club, it's like a jewel in middle of the city!
Traci's ceremony took place in front of the private lake. Here are some shots of the ceremony site.

The bases and the corners of the chuppah were decorated with varigated & green pitt, sterling silver roses and blue bird roses, purple larkspur, white snapdragons, purple hydrangea, Picasso and lavendar calla lilies, polo roses, dendrobrium orchids, purple, white and lavender stock.

The aisle was lined with garland and at each chair a cluster of hydrangea was attached with lavender ribbon.

What Wendee Walter Vezzetti of Custom Weddings of Colorado had to say:
"I recently had the pleasure to work with Alicia on a June 2008 "day-of" wedding where she designed, setup and created a fabulous chuppah, along with all the other wedding pieces. It was quite an extensive, involved and detailed wedding. She and her staff seemingly sailed effortlessly through it and responded quickly and efficiently. The flowers: stunning, of course."
Thanks Wendee! We really enjoyed working with you and your girls, too!

Flower Inspiration :: Peony, Lily of the Valley & mini-Calla bouquet

Check out this bouquet we just designed for Hannah, a bride we worked with just a few weeks ago. She selected an all white bouquet with the classics - peonies, lily of the valley and mini-calla lilies. So romantic & feminine!

Magnolia Hotel Ballroom

Here's an all white flower wedding held at Magnolia Hotel Ballroom. This classic, edgy, crisp wedding was designed by Julie Gambrell of Classic Creations.

A vase full of large white calla lilies sits on the head table.

Three vases of various cube & rectangular sized vases, each vase held one type of flower. Here we used hydrangea, roses and peonies.

A vase filled with all white tulips.

A vase filled with all white dendrobrium orchids.

The long tables had various heights of vases with floating candles and simple, large white calla lilies.

Dunafon's Castle

Another lovely wedding at Dunafon's Castle, how could it not be lovely when held at such a beautiful location?
Julie Gambrell of Classic Creations did an amazing job, as usual, designing a lovely wedding for Jewel. Here are some of the photos I took of the pre-ceremony setup:

The place card table kept with Jewel's theme by using Aspen logs for dimension on the table, we tucked in flowers for a bit of softness and added the lanterns to add to the ambiance of the outdoors.
The cocktail hour was held on one of the lower lawns. Jewel selected green, white and a touch of buttercream yellow color scheme for her flowers. They kept a very natural feel in this outdoor landscape.

Go Sarah!

The youngest member of our design team took off for Southern California today. Sarah is a recent graduate of Arvada West High School and Warren Tech floristry program. Before graduation she won a scholarship and has applied those funds towards a design class with Phil Rulloda. We are so proud of her accomplishments and hope she has a wonderful time in Anaheim and learns tons of new techniques at Phil's class!! Go Sarah!

The Oxford Hotel

Megan choose a pink theme and did a wonderful job carrying her color throughout her entire wedding. The bridesmaids wore a hot pink dress and carried hand-tied rose bouquets of "hot lady" and "sweet unique" pink roses. Megan carried a hand-tied bouquet of all "hot lady" roses.

Each guest was given a blume bud with a rose as their place card. Very clever and different way of doing the place card & we selected a different color rose to designate if people had steak, chicken or vegetarian!

Upclose shot of the bride & groom's blume buds.

The tables alternated between mono-botanical bouquets; hot pink hydrangea, pink snapdragons and the centerpiece shown here of "hot lady" roses.

A view of the head table, in the background sit the arrangements used at the ceremony. The arrangements consist of roses, snapdragons, stock and hydrangea. On the table you can see the bouquets, blume buds and rose centerpieces.

Greenhouse visit

Ever wonder what a greenhouse looks like? I received these photos in an email today from a grower in Holland. Thought I'd share them with all of you flower lovers!

Taste Of The Nation

Last night my BFF, Anna, and I got to enjoy Taste Of The Nation thanks to Kaye Lyssy, the event chair. We sat at French 250's table and were served 6 courses with specially paired wines. Unbelievable food, fabulous wine, great company at our table - including Colorado's Lieutenant Governor!
Ran into Jimmy from Baur's, his table looked awesome, I only wish I could have sampled some of his creations. The cocktail hours prior and after the dinner were great fun. Floral creations from Bella Fiori could be viewed throughout the cocktail hours.
Just too bad this event only comes around once a year and we can only sit at one table per evening!

Hudson Gardens

Alicia,

Using Bella Fiori for our wedding was the best decision we made throughout the planning process. The flowers were so beautiful that many guests assumed that they were fake! I have never, to this day, seen such beautiful arrangements and cannot thank you enough for your creativity and hard work. Not only were the colors perfectly aligned with my vision, but you were able to create extremely beautiful and unique pieces on a modest budget. Outstanding work!

THANK YOU!!!
