Vendor Profile :: Peggy Porschen
I'm on a cake trip this week... Did I write in my London blogs about meeting Peggy Porschen? Even if I did, I still feel like she deserves a blog entry of her own. Peggy Porschen is one the top/hottest wedding cake designers in London. I had the pleasure of meeting Peggy and visiting her adorable boutique bakery. How did I meet Peggy? Luckily for me she is the sister-in-law of my friend Emma. After we visited her bakery we all went out to dinner and had a good time talking about weddings.

Flower Inspiration :: Wedding Cakes
Enjoy!
Here is a cake that I did back in my San Francisco days, when I had my original company: Alicia Chestine Designs. This cake was inspired by a Martha Stewart design for a Chinese wedding. It's four tiers high and each tier was decorated with dahlias of various sizes and textures - all with red, orange and yellow. To this day it remains one of my favorite cakes.
This cake is from a wedding that took place on top of Keystone mountain. There are more photos of it on our website under the weddings page. The cake is 4 tiers tall and lightly decorated with green cymbidium orchids and purple dendrobrium orchids.
Here's a cake designed by Kakes by Kelley; it's 4 tiers and square. We decorated it with three tones of red roses and surrounded the base with red rose petals.
This cake was created by the Ritz Carlton Denver. Three square tiers with flowers flush between the tiers. The flowers included freesia, spray roses and vendela roses.
This was a cake that we did for one of our employee's sister. Michelle decorated it with clusters of roses, gerbers, freesia and touches of greenery. The wedding took place in the cabin at Hudson Gardens.
This was a cake delicately decorated with pink cymbidium orchids on the top tier and pink petals scattered around the base. This wedding was at Arrowhead Golf Course.
This cake is at Green Gables Country Club and designed by Elegant Bakery. We did a black magic red rose cluster on top and red petals around the base.
Looks like the next four cakes are all from weddings designed by Classic Creations. What I really like about weddings with Julie is how different and distinct each wedding is, as you can see in these cakes.
Here we have a cake where Sarah wired and taped all the flowers to create an amazing floral topper.
This is a up-close photo of peonies and cymbidium orchids on the top tier.
Here's a cake we recently did at Lakewood Country Club. Intricate Icings was the cake baker. We thought she did an amazing job with this 4 tier cake, she also placed all the flowers.
This is Michelle's cake from her wedding in November '06, which took place at the Greenbriar in Boulder. Shamane's Bake Shop created this cake, not only was it beautiful it tasted great, too.
This is another Classic Creation wedding - what I love is how Julie placed the cake on an elevated piece of glass and all the petals were placed under the glass.
Gateaux created this cake, we lined the tiers with blue and green hydrangea for an April wedding.
Isn't this a cute fall cake? I love the circus roses.
This cake is from a wedding that Sapphire Celebrations designed at The Pines of Genesee. I like how Angie placed the "I DO" in front of the cake.
