Blume boxes - an idea for placecards

I love this new little product. It is called a bud box and it measures about 2.5" tall without a flower added. They come in pink, purple, brown, black, orange, red, sky blue and lime green - some solid colors and some with patterns. There is a space to insert a tag with your guests' names and their table number. Quite a few flowers work well with these. Such a fun and unique way to mark where your guests sit and a fun favor for them. The photo isn't that great, they are much cuter in person.

the knot - Best of Weddings Pick

Bella Fiori is honored to be selected for “The Knot 2007 Best of Weddings Pick”. This actually happened last May. Seems that I never actually posted about this on the blog. I had such an elated feeling when a few wedding planners called to tell me I was in the magazine listed for one of the top wedding floral designers for the state of Colorado. Rocktober!

It's a great day here in Colorado!! Why? Well, the Rockies swept their way into the World Series AND more ski resorts have opened for the season!
I think everyone is enjoying this October!

Hard to believe it is already October! Where did the summer go? Oh yea, we were working on weddings. ;)
I'm enjoying watching the leaves turn from green to golds and reds, the air is a bit more crisp in the morning. I do enjoy the fall season.
At the shop we went from hot pinks, oranges, blue & white to Fall Weddings in a flash. Now the nandina leaves are in, the mango callas, orange/yellow and burgundy dahlias, tons of berries, liquid amber leaves, confetti & black beauty roses. I like the natural looks of the arrangements this time of year.
I think I'll be flying home to California the end of October - need to see the vineyards turning their beautiful red, orange and yellow shades. Love it!
ahhhh.. fall, what a beautiful time of year!

Beautiful Boettcher Mansion

I love Boettcher Mansion, just love it. Such a breathtaking location for a wedding, quaint and quiet. Recently worked on a wedding there with Debbie from Save The Date Events. Susan Pacek Photography has been kind enough to send over some photos she took. Thanks, Susan!!

Entertaining Colorado Style

On Sept. 20, 2007 I participated in Entertaining Colorado Style's Parade of Tables. I had the fun of designing a fantasy table and came up with the idea of doing everything in shades of green. It is with great pleasure that I share the two out of five awards I received! From the judges I received "Design Excellence" and from the luncheon guests I received "Table I Would Most Like in My Home". Here are some photos of "Going Green"





The other good news from this fun event is the new floral designer that I met, Henry from Newberry Brothers. Henry and I had a great time chatting throughout the event. I'm very happy to announce that he also won two awards! Here's a photo of Henry with his table:
