StudioWed Open House

On February 21 we had the extreme pleasure of participating the StudioWed's first Open House. I teamed up with Debbie of Save The Date Events & Julie of JS Design Custom to create this fantasy table:

ISES Fantasy Table - "La Reve en Rose"

The second fantasy table that I had the pleasure to work on was "La Reve en Rose" with Sapphire Celebrations, CO Party Rental, Chair Covers & Linens, Food Guy and JS Custom Designs.

Pam, Angie and I worked on the design concept for a few months, we knew right away that we wanted to have the sweetheart table nestled inside a structure with a chandelier hanging inside. Next we went with the peach & ivory color palette, knowing we wanted an elevated centerpiece of lush peach & ivory roses with crystals dangling down from the arrangement. Soon we filled the base of the arrangement with smaller arrangements in cut crystal, lots of candles and rose petals.

ISES Fantasy Table - "Petite Patisserie"

Two weeks ago we participated in the annual ISES Wedding Showcase. This year I took on the challenge of working on two fantasy tables & wow, were we busy getting everything ready. This year was different than previous years, typically we would take one table and transform it, this year we were given 15'x15' to fill with our creations.

One of the tables we worked on was "Petite Patisserie" in conjunction with Dramatic Events, Elegant Bakery, Latavola Linen, All Well Rents and Fast Lane Productions.
Our vision was to create a romantic, candlelight shabby chic French Patisserie. Elegant Bakery filled the stands, dishes, platters with delicate little petite fours, truffles, crockenbouche, chocolate dipped strawberry tree, cream puffs, and many other delectable treats. For the flowers I collected vintage hobnail milk glass from antique stores and filled them with peonies, tulips, spray roses, lilac, jasmine, narcissus, nerines, ranunculus and amaryllis.

Here's the finished product:
The entry to our Patisserie - greeted with our lanterns & a sign that tells of all the goodies to be tried:

The sweethearts table displaying my gorgeous arrangement, yes, I loved this one! It was huge and designed with lush flowers:

We displayed our fountain (this is available to rent) which was decorated with flowy jasmine down the sides of the lady, the top is filled with tulips, peonies, lilacs and roses. The bottom holds floating candles and petals:

Small arrangements were placed throughout the dessert display:

ISES Wedding show

Today is the annual wedding showcase with ISES and this will be our fourth year participating. I thought it would be fun to recap the fantasy tables we've designed in years past.

In 2007 the showcase was held at Lionsgate Center in Lafayette. I partnered with Michelle Gillette of Dramatic Events. The theme this year was destination wedding. Michelle and I decided to do our vision of a fall wedding in Napa Valley. We selected sage green and plum as our color palette. Here's our table:

2008 Wedding showcase traveled to the new Ritz Carlton Denver. This was one of the largest turnouts for ISES, everyone was so excited to see the newly opened hotel. The theme this year was Alice in Wonderland. I once again partnered with Michelle Gillette of Dramatic Events. Everyone went big this year! Michelle and I built a large structure and covered it with sheer fabric and decorated our hide-a-way with all tropical flowers & fish! Here's our Palace in Wonderland:

2009 the wedding showcase took place at the Chateaux at Fox Meadows. This year it was just the Bella Fiori girls designing the table and the theme was ISES on the Edge. What better way to show something edgy that to use acrylic light boxes (from The Wright Group). This was one of my favorite fantasy tables ever. However, it was a tough design to capture on film as it needs to viewed from all sides to fully appreciate the design.

A shot of the girls and I with our table.

Looking forward to sharing our 2010 ISES fantasy table with you soon!

La Tavola Linens, Napa, California

I was so fortunate on my last trip to Northern California to be able to attend a open-house event at La Tavola Linens in Napa.

La Tavola's boutique is so beautiful, fresh and lovely. I was amazed by the variety of linens they offer and equally amazed by all the florals they had on display.
I'm pleased to share these photos with you - hope you feel equally inspired!
This arrangement was the first one I saw when entering their showroom. The base of the vase is lined with celery! A full & lush arrangement of viburnum.

Here's a unique green linen, so fresh. Cool arrangement with pheasant feathers.

An beautiful and more traditionally set table for a wedding.

Here is my favorite table! I love the tall, wrought iron stand with all the glass globes hanging. The florist attached mokara orchids to the glass globes. Around the base were tons of bud vases filled with yellow peonies. Very unique!

I feel like La Tavola placed one of the best tables in a slightly hidden space in their showroom - like a little surprise for their guests that kept exploring the space. Check this one out!

Here are two beautiful cocktail table linen options:

And now for the coolest moment of attending the event ... my mentor was there! I didn't expect to see her and was tickled pink when Arlene walked through the door. I ran over to hug her and chat!! Arlene owns Violetta Flowers in San Francisco.

Please note these amazing vendors that participated in the open house:
Hors d’oeuvres from Caridwyn & Sons Catering
Champagne from Schramsberg Vineyards

Calluna Events 5 year Anniversary Party

Last Friday night was the Calluna Event's 5 year Anniversary Party. We at Bella Fiori are so excited for Heather and her accomplishments. She is a wonderful person and we only wish the best for her!
She invited Bella Fiori to create a fantasy table for her event. Here are a few of my shots from the event. I'm sure we'll get a few professional shots up later this week.

We used rolled black ti leaves to create the structure and nestled purple lisianthus, plum dianthus, sterling silver roses and fuchsia Phalaenopsis orchids throughout.
