The new Premier Bride Magazine was just released. I'm very happy to share that one our our weddings was featured. The Wedding of Devon to Harrison is featured on pages 46 & 47. Autumn Burke is the photographer and Norie Hamilton the wedding planner. Devon & Harrison were such joys to work with!

Happy New Year to all our friends!

I spent most of January 1st reminiscing about what a great year 2008 was! Sarah joined our team, we moved into our spacious new studio in August, I studied with Paula Pryke in September, October we threw a celebration party. What a year! So many things to be thankful for. Really, we had a great time last year working w/ so many cool brides, plus all kinds of other celebrations. I'm still posting photos to our website....

2009 is already off to an amazing start. A few things we are looking forward to:
-The annual ISES wedding showcase for event industry folks - we are busy coming up with our design for the fantasy table.
-I won the ISES scholarship to attend The Special Event in San Diego. I can hardly wait to attend four days of classes!
-Our design classes, we have a few spaces left for anyone interested.

-A few magazine articles are in the works, we'll post a note as soon as they hit newsstands.

My friend Kaye, of Epicurean Catering, loves the website BizBash. Quite often she'll send me links if she finds a great flower article. BizBash follows the event market in the big cities - New York, LA, Chicago and Miami. It's a fun resource for anyone into event planning. I find it really interesting how each market has such different styles.

I'm on a cake trip this week... Did I write in my London blogs about meeting Peggy Porschen? Even if I did, I still feel like she deserves a blog entry of her own. Peggy Porschen is one the top/hottest wedding cake designers in London. I had the pleasure of meeting Peggy and visiting her adorable boutique bakery. How did I meet Peggy? Luckily for me she is the sister-in-law of my friend Emma. After we visited her bakery we all went out to dinner and had a good time talking about weddings.
